    Capt Dave Azar has been fishing the waters

of the New York Bight for 30 years.  In 1990

he caught his first saltwater fish on a fly and

has never looked back.  Saltwater fly fishing

is his passion and he has caught numerous

species on the fly rod, including striped bass

over 20 pounds, too many bluefish to count,

weakfish, fluke, false albacore, skipjack tuna,

spotted seatrout, redfish, bonefish and tarpon.

Not a purist he still enjoys fishing with light

spinning and conventional tackle.  His second

favorite way to fish is live-lining with adult menhaden, which

each spring produces many of the largest striped bass

his clients release each year. 

     Capt Dave has been guiding anglers to new fishing
 opportunities for a decade, first in the surf
 and now from boats.  Having
 many of angling's
 accomplishments under his
 belt, Capt Dave now enjoys sharing

 his experience and knowledge with others, and helping them

 reach their own goals, whatever their level of experience.

 Capt. Dave finds leading others to their own special catches as

 rewarding as catching them himself... if not greater!
